Giving back never tasted so good.

Welcome to Our Giving Kitchen, where young folks come together to cook, connect, and care for our neighbors — one fresh, homemade meal at a time.

Powered by CYP Raleigh, OGK is a hands-on giving experience for people who want to do more than talk about making a difference. We gather in the kitchen, roll up our sleeves, turn up the music, and prepare beautiful, nourishing meals for local families and individuals who could use a little extra care.

Good Food

Every meal you help prepare is made fresh and distributed through trusted local partners to people who need it most.

Good Company

Come solo or bring a friend. You’ll chop, stir, laugh, plate, and pack — and leave with meaningful connection, new friendships, and a full heart.

Good Energy

This is not your average volunteer gig. Think themed menus, guest chefs, beautiful ingredients, great music and warm, uplifting energy.

WHY IT MATTERS

For a neighbor facing food insecurity, a meal made from scratch can be more than dinner. It can say: you’re seen, you matter, and someone cared enough to make this for you.

Right here in Wake County, thousands of children and families are facing hunger. OGK gives young professionals a simple, meaningful way to show up — by turning a night in the kitchen into fresh meals, real connection, and local impact.

We're not your typical soup kitchen or food pantry. We're an inclusive, non-denominational extension of the Raleigh Jewish community that welcomes volunteers of all backgrounds for a hands-on, interactive way to give back to our community.

Rooted in the Jewish value of chessed, every OGK experience is a chance to care for Raleigh in the most human way: by feeding people with dignity.
